Apple introduced the iPhone 16 on September 9, promising a souped-up five-core GPU that can support hardware-accelerated ray tracing and play AAA games previously only available on the iPhone 15 Pro. Here’s what we know so far about the next iPhone’s gaming capabilities.

While Apple’s announcement for the iPhone 16 has a strong focus on generative AI, it also showed off how the device’s five-core GPU will deliver higher performance for more demanding games. Thanks to the new A18 GPU, the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus can now support hardware-accelerated ray tracing, which Apple says can model light with up to five times higher frame rates than software-based ray tracing.

This weekend, Arcane Season 2 is wrapping up the show with a grand finale. But the League of Legends-inspired series apparently caused some friction between Riot Games and Netflix over an Arcane Season 2 promo poster that was created by AI. Come from malaysia online casino

A user on X going by eggbertith noticed the image and posted it online. The dead giveaway that it was AI-created is the anatomically incorrect hand, which is an area where AI imagery still struggles.

The image was subsequently removed from Netflix, and Arcane brand lead Alex Shahmir confirmed that the poster was made by AI. He also stated that it was against Riot Games’ policy of not using anything AI-related on Arcane because it would be “disrespectful to the incredible artists who worked on the show.”

While it’s unclear whether Netflix and Riot Games will team up for another animated series set in the world of League of Legends, the cost of Arcane Season 2 may have been the determining factor as to why the show ended there. According to a report in Variety earlier this month, Arcane is the most expensive animated series ever created and Ri…

As you near the end of Halo Infinite, you’ll finally get to face off against Escharum, the Banished leader who idolizes the late Atriox and spends most of the game daring you to face him. Once you finally do, you may just live to see the end of the rivalry, but only if you’re careful. Here’s how to defeat Escharum in Halo Infinite.

Halo Infinite Escharum boss battle

After the Banished kidnap the Pelican pilot and dare you to rescue him in the Banished headquarters, you’ll eventually come face to face with Escharum. As it turns out, his bite happens to be as big as his bark, which is really saying something given his penchant for a villainous monologue.

The room in which you find yourself facing off against Escharum is decorated with a few key features. Unmissable in one side of the room is the pilot, strapped to some sort of futuristic restraint / torture device. To free him, you’ll need to go through Escharum, but sometimes trying to do precisely that is what will hurt the pilot, so this fight between two of the galaxy’s strongest warriors takes a bit of brains as well as brawn.

Initially, y…

With its warm, rustic setting, and an instantly endearing protagonist, the first Unravel had the outward appearance of a happily nostalgic adventure. That initial fuzzy feeling, however, gave way to a series of frustrating puzzles and a story that took some unexpectedly dark turns. In the game’s final hours, the poor little hero Yarny was left all alone in a hostile world. What a relief it is to see him in a better place in Unravel Two, the sequel that’s notably comforting thanks to the introduction of a second yarnling. Once they meet, Yarny and his new friend immediately hit it off and set out on a new adventure.

Similar to the original game, Unravel Two has ethereal slice-of-life scenes that play out in the background of each stage. This time, the literal background story involves two youths making the drastic decision to run away from their hyper-religious families. Yarny and his new partner make their own journey through the small town they live in, inadvertently helping the kids along the way with each new platforming challenge they surmount. Despite trips to more urban settings, the design philosophy and earthy aesthetic that made the first game such a vis…
